Wow! What an awesome beginning to the month of August! As I finished up the When Godly People Do Ungodly Things Bible Study by Beth Moore, I decided to check out her website to see what she has coming this fall. Well- I was distracted by the events page. You know how I love events! hehehe Anyway- I immediately signed up for the Simulcast conference. David and I were going to be picking up the kids from Grandmother and Papa's so I decided to attend the conference at Brushy Creek in Taylors. My mom mentioned that my cousin Amy might attend, but we decided that being the mother of 4! she would probably be busy. However, after I arrived, by myself, I continued looking around the room for a familiar face. And there she was! I was so excited to see her. It was ironic that I had been trying to talk myself into how cool it was just to go by myself and just let it soak in- no pressure to converse, just me... Yea- well- Ha! I arrived an hour before it started and for 45 minutes was looking for someone to connect with! You know we were made for fellowship! Whether we admit it or not, I usually being the latter, we need one another. The Lord knew I needed my precious cousin Amy, whom I rarely get to see. I needed the connection- not only with a family member, but with a sister, "siesta" as Beth Moore would say, in Christ. On this subject, I'd like to share a few points from When Godly People Do Ungodly Things-1) Because of the increase in depravity, deception and strongholds in the end times, Satan knows that we will need on another more and more as the Day approaches.
2) Satan is doing everything he can to pervert and destroy relationships. (even make us uninterested in relationships with other believers due to distrust, laziness, etc...)
3) Koinonia means fellowship. In fellowship we receive and give deposits into lives. True
koinonia means good deposits.
Hebrews 10:24-25 says "Let us consider and give attentive, continuous care over one another, studying how we may stir up (stimulate and incite) to love and helpful deeds and noble activities, Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together (as believers), as is the habit of some people, but admonishing (warning, urging and encouraging) one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching.
